The Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii Foundation, in cooperation with the City & County of Honolulu under the leadership of Mayor Mufi Hannemann, is proud to present t Second Annual A Taste of Kalihi on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 10 am to 8 pm. We are closing portions of Colburn Street and Dillingham Shopping Plaza parking lots for the festival.

As last year, we are expecting thousands of Kalihi and island residents to participate in our festivities. A Taste of Kalihi promises to be a family event aimed at celebrating and exploring the treasures that this colorful and historical district has to offer. The celebration wants to act as a catalyst for improving Kalihi’s economic base as Kalihi-based companies, small businesses, and community organizations participate in this festival which will feature food, drinks, a bit of history, family-friendly activities and all around entertainment. A portion of the net proceeds will benefit the Kalihi-Palama Health Center whose ission is to provide quality, integrated health and social services to our community and all others in need of health care.
